Winter Town in China

Ice, snow, cool, every word related to winter makes us freeze or … maybe not. China has seen in this opportunity a good chance to celebrate this season. And this was made possible in Harbin town. Here, another world, made up only from ice and snow, was built in only three weeks. Everything is amazing, you cannot decide on the direction to go and experience another world. The ice town in China is at its 28th edition in 2012 and was opened for the public on the 5th of January. Harbin was chosen as the host-town of this snow festival because it is situated in a very cold area, where temperatures can easily reach -35 C. In order to build these masterpieces, about 19 million dollar were spent. All sculptures are more than 3 m high and were built with the help of about 15.000 people. Entrance fees depend on the time you visit Harbin ice town in China – $15/ticket during day and $50/ticket at night.
