The Guinness Book has recently acknowledged that the biggest swimming pool in the world is located in Chile. It is 115 feet deep, 1000 yards long and 20 acres – the perfect place to do laps in because the 66 mil of gallons of water prove to be more than enough. The saltwater pool contains 250,000 cubic metres of water and is navigable in small boats.

It lasted 5 years to be built and about 1 mil pounds were invested. The annual maintenance costs around 2 mil pounds. The extremely clear water tempts very many tourists try it. The second swimming pool as size is concerned is in Morroco and it has for about 150 yards in length and 100 yards in width. Even the Olympicsize pool has about 50 yards by 25 yards.

Due to a computer, the water is controlled easily and proper filtration is provided. The water is drawn in from the ocean at one end and pumping it out at the other. The sun warms the water up to 26° C, whereas the temperature in the sea next to the pool raises up to 9°C less.
