France National Day Parade

Bastille Day or France National Day is a very important celebration for the French people and not only, marked by impressive parades, fireworks shows, communal meals and music. If you want to participate in this great live celebration, book a flight to Paris. Take the transfer bus – if you land on Beauvais Airport, near Paris, the bus ticket will cost about 15 EUR/person, and the journey takes about one hour. After you arrive in Paris, go to Champs-Elysées. The great boulevard will be the host for the military and civilian parades, dances, music, meals, fireworks.
The meaning of Bastille Day goes back in history 1789, which marked the end of the monarchy. Everyone can be part of the public, cheap flights to Paris can be easily bought online, so you don’t have but to enjoy the beautiful feast and feel the emotion in the air. Thousands of people entertain themselves on the 14th of July, because French National Day is a special occasion for showing the love for this country. If you plan your trip for shopping also, you have to pay attention to the shops schedule, because they are also closed on the 13th of July, not only on the 14th.
The parade will take place along the boulevard, starting from l’Arc de Triomphe to Place de la Concorde, where the President stands. The the storming of the Bastille at the start of the French Revolution is preceded by dancing events, balls, taking place on the evening before July, 14th. It is very important to arrive early in the morning if you want to have the best view. It will get very crowded, metro stations in the surroundings will also be full of people joining the parade.
But, after the national parade, Bastille Day is not over – if you want to watch the extraordinary fireworks show, Champ-de-Mars and Trocadéro are the best place to enjoy them. You can end this great day in a pub or bar, which are also decorated according to the celebration.

Lover’s Lock Bridge in Paris

Besides being a cultural European capital, Paris is also a very romantic destination. Book a cheap flight and go straight to one of the lock bridges in Paris. Even if for only a couple of hours, flights to Paris are very affordable nowadays.
Love Locks or Lover’s Lock Bridge has become a wide spread custom among the inhabitants of Paris and not only. Tourists who pass on one of the Pont des Arts, Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor and the Pont de l’Archevêché bridges can notice how lovers attached a lock with their names to the railings of bridges. This has become a very profitable business, because, in exchange for only 1 € you get a small lock, together with three keys, which you can bind to the bridge and then throw one of the keys, without to forget to make a wish. There are hundrends of locks now on these bridges and Lover’s Lock is very popular among teenagers especially. Fixing this Lover’s Lock means that the love will last forever, or, depending on the wish. There are locks of all dimensions, colours. This custom is also very widely spread in countries such as Belgium, Denmark, England, Scotland, Finland etc. It is thought to have originated from China. This custom confirms the fact that Paris is a very romantic destination and still a very actual one. However, expressing these deep feelings is not seen in a positive way but everyone. While some believe that this is an act of true love, others consider it pure vandalism.

Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes

Have you made your reservation for the holiday yet? If no, the book your airline tickets and head to Paris. It’s worth visiting it in summer! All international flights take you to this very romantic destination, from where you will have the most beautiful recollections. Ménagerie du Jardin des Plantes or in English, Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes is a relatively small zoological garden built in Paris, belonging to the botanical garden. It covers approximately one third of the Jardin des Plantes. All these gardens are part of the Museum of National History in Paris. The visit to the Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes was, fortunately, a pleasant stay because the sunny day made us stroll along the cages of the animals, take photos and enjoy the landscape. Although it is not very rich in animal species, you still can encounter there a monkey house, a reptile house, very birghtly coloured parrots, all sorts of birds, a cheetah, an owl, two huge bulls. It’s interesting to see how they are fed. For instance, reptiles are fed around 10-11 A.M. Monkeys seem very interested in their visitors. It’s worth spending the entrance fee, that is 9 €/ adult and 6 €/ student. For children, there is free entrance if they are under 4. The opening times are every day from 09:00 to 18:00, every Sunday from 09:00 to 18:30 and every holiday from 09:00 to 18:30. Together with the tickets you will also receive a map with all attractions of Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes.
