Early Booking Destinations for Easter Holidays in 2012

Easter will be celebrated in 2012 on the 15th of April for the Orthodox Church and on the 8th of April, for Catholics, in full spring, when the weather becomes warmer and warmer, making us dream of the perfect summer holidays, too. However, the religious celebration of Easter in 2012 draws us to make the perfect decision in choosing the perfect destination for 2012. No matter if you are in search of a weekend break or a longer stay, below you will find the best recommendations for family holidays in 2012. For instance, you can spend your Easter holidays in 2012 on one of the ABC islands – Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, because this time of the year is the most proper to enjoy the palms, the mild temperatures and the incredible landscape, which makes your family holiday unique. Another gateaway for 2012 Easter holidays is the romantic France capital – Paris. A cruise on the Seine or long walks will make your Easter memorable. It is obvious that if you remain at home, Easter becomes a feast of dishes, all of them very appetising, however, if you choose Paris, then a picnic on the Seine banks will definetly compete with home-baked meals. Absolutely delicious and original idea! Don’t forget to take a bottle of local wine, it doesn’t matter the price – cheese and wine are very exquisite for French people. On the American continent, Easter holidays will be full of joy and light, too. For example, if you go to Washington D.C., you can admire the rebirth of nature, and this cannot be done better than admiring the pink flowers.

Cheap Travel this Easter

Article written by Kate Robinson.
This year Easter falls around the 22 April. Okay, you probably should have organised your Easter break in advance. However, if you have just found out that you have a week or two off over this religious festival, you still have time to go away somewhere. You see I am quite good at finding last minute flights….why? What I do is I leave it soo last minute that the airlines are trying to sell off their seats at any price in order to send the flight out full. This doesn’t always work…. but if you are short of a pound or two this Easter and want to go away….this may be your only option. Here are some of my cheap travel tips.
1. Finding last minute flights
If you want last minute flights then don’t be too fussy about the destination. My advice is to search dates to lots and lots of different destinations and just book the cheapest flights you find. This adds a little adventure to your holiday, don’t you think?
2. You have to go to……
If you are not flexible about the destination then it will be harder to get a bargain. The best thing to do is to use a search and comparison website, check the airlines’ official website and try searching on different dates. Remember that flights flying out or back at strange hours of the morning or night are always the cheapest.
3. No luck with flights?
If you don’t have any luck finding cheap flights you should consider a road trip. I used to do this when I was at university and it was great fun. All you need is a car, 5 people (including the driver) to fill it with and split the costs of course, and a sense of adventure.
4. Saving money on the road
Stay in hostels where you can cook…..eat in MacDonald’s……or if you want to sample local food and eat out, then you should go at lunchtime and have a big lunch. Why? Lunch menus are usually cheaper than evening meal menus and so you will be full all day and can enjoy a snack in the evening.
5. Go somewhere where you have accommodation
If you want to get away but don’t have much cash then you should consider going somewhere where you know you have guaranteed accommodation. Perhaps visit a friend or relative who will be happy to see you and show you around. You can enjoy the holiday, company and free accommodation.
