Bucharest Marathon 2012

Bucharest will host this year in October the great sport event called - Bucharest International Marathon 2012. At its fifth edition, the Marathon takes place on Sunday 7th of October and will start at about 9.30 A.M. when the weather conditions are considered to be the best.
If you would like to participate in the marathon or simply watch the runners, book an
international flight in order to get your best place in front. You can choose from various cheap flights to Bucharest and take this opportunity to enjoy a healthy show. If you want to be part of the runners team, then if you apply for the marathon individual, you will have to pay the fee of 33€, however, if you would like to run only half of the marathon, then you will pay 23€. Traffic will be closed and the area will be supervised by police. You will also have the chance to be photographed and you can later download the pic in exchange for 2 USD. All the competitors will be provided with drinks, energizers, coffee, everything they will need to feel strong. Food will be also available for buying. If you come from USA, then it is advisable to plan a 3 days vacation here. If you feel dizzy during the race, an ambulance will be present at each 5 km. The length of the marathon is 21.097 km/lap and there have to be done 2 (two) laps.
There are some minimum requirements for the participation – you have to be over 18, pay the
registration fee, provide an ID document and agree to bear the entire responsability for any
incident that may take place during the competition. Also, the participation fee includes a deposit and start bag, changing facilities, T-Shirt, refreshments, medical assistance, toilets, sponges.

Sensation White 2012 Bucharest

All electronic music fans could enjoy a great electronic music festival, a brand name, a trademark in terms of house music – Sensation White 2012 Bucharest. Music fans only had to book a flight because this great event from Bucharest in 2012 gathered about 18,000 people under the same roof at Romexpo Exhibitions Hall.
This year’s edition was called “An Ocean of White” – a journey in the water world, with a great scenery and entertainment moments.

The line-up was amazing, too:

The entrance ticket fee was relatively acceptable, given the fact that Amsterdam, the “home-town” sold regular tickets for 70 EUR. The Romanian show welcomed its guests in regular areas, deluxes zones or VIP areas.

If you wanted to buy a drink or a snack, you had to pay for tokens (1 token ab. €1,20). You could buy yourself a big glass of water (you were not allowed to drink from the bottle directly), or a regular beer. A cocktail cost more, that is 3 tokens.

The atmosphere was unique, everybody singing, dancing and enjoying the moments to the maximum. The event had taken place in Amsterdam 2 years ago, but this did not hinder the electronic music enthusiasts have a great time at “An Ocean of White”event in Bucharest. Costumes, makeups, scenery, water, all made White Sensation Bucharest 2012 a memorable experience!

Of course, the dress code was white, expect for accessories and shoes, anyway, you had to wear 90% white on. You were allowed to record or take photos but not with professional cameras.

Also, many promoters offering toys, body creams, chewing gum made everyone have more fun.

Everybody claimed to have gone to the best electronic music ever, promising to join it next year, too!

Transportation to and from the event location was very affordable by taxi, in addition to the cheap tickets.

Bucharest’s Second Largest Building in the World

Bucharest is an European attraction, which you can visit spending only very little money on the flight tickets. Romanian’s capital is worth visiting especially in spring and summer, although late autumn can be warm as well. It is not a cheap capital but also not a very expensive one. Avery popular attraction in Bucharest is People’s House or the current House of Parliament. It was built during Nicolae Ceausescu’s time, and it was designed for him and his family in order to serve as home.
A very interesting fact about the Romanian House of Parliament is that the building is the second largest office building in the world and the third largest in volume after the Great Pyramid in Egypt. The opulence in People’s House is visible everywhere because the chandeliers have about 7,000 bulbs. The House of Parliament has 12 floors, 3100 rooms and it occupies a 330.000 sq meters surface.
Visiting the building can be made both individually or accompanied by a guide, for whom, you need, however, to make an appointment. Leaving Bucharest leaves behind the idea to visit it again because of the numerous beauties and things to be discovered – night life or day life – the town always welcomes its tourists and surprises them with its historic air.
