Hamburg is the second city in Germany with 1 640 000 inhabitants and one of the most important harbours in Europe. Due to its trade tradition, Hamburg is considered ‘the gate to the rest of the world’.There are very many shopping and entertainment areas in Hamburg. Around the main railway station, there is one area for shopaholics. For educational tourism, visitors have to go to the harbour, where they can spend time in the Hamburg Dungeon, a place of the ‘dark side’ of Hamburg during history. Hamburg is also a city with a Red Light District, just like the one in Amsterdam. The street is called Reeperbahn and it is situated in Saint Pauli district. One can find here a wide range of girls and boys, toys, and shops with certain items strictly connected to this area. It the ‘love center’ of the town, known also as ‘mile of sin’ crowded with brothels and erotic shows.
