Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes

Have you made your reservation for the holiday yet? If no, the book your airline tickets and head to Paris. It’s worth visiting it in summer! All international flights take you to this very romantic destination, from where you will have the most beautiful recollections. Ménagerie du Jardin des Plantes or in English, Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes is a relatively small zoological garden built in Paris, belonging to the botanical garden. It covers approximately one third of the Jardin des Plantes. All these gardens are part of the Museum of National History in Paris. The visit to the Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes was, fortunately, a pleasant stay because the sunny day made us stroll along the cages of the animals, take photos and enjoy the landscape. Although it is not very rich in animal species, you still can encounter there a monkey house, a reptile house, very birghtly coloured parrots, all sorts of birds, a cheetah, an owl, two huge bulls. It’s interesting to see how they are fed. For instance, reptiles are fed around 10-11 A.M. Monkeys seem very interested in their visitors. It’s worth spending the entrance fee, that is 9 €/ adult and 6 €/ student. For children, there is free entrance if they are under 4. The opening times are every day from 09:00 to 18:00, every Sunday from 09:00 to 18:30 and every holiday from 09:00 to 18:30. Together with the tickets you will also receive a map with all attractions of Ménagerie of Jardin des Plantes.
