What about a journey with the Swiss Chocolate Train? Well, this is possible from Montreux between June and October. All passengers can enjoy the beautiful landscape of Switzerland, while eating delicious freshly baked croissants together with a glass of very good wine.
In Gruyères, the train pauses for an excursion by bus to a cheese factory and the local castle. Chocolate first arrived in Switzerland in 1819. François-Louis Cailler opened chocolate production facilities in Corsier. His brand is still in existence today. Because of the highly appreciated chocolate sortiments, Switzerland began long ago to export large amounts of chocolate to the rest of the countries. Highly skilled professionals process the chocolate, which is a combination of cocoa beans, cocoa mixture, cocoa butter, sugar, and milk.
